Costume prices by tier

Every Showtime section is offered in tiers. The tier changes how elaborate the costume is (backpack size, headpiece, materials, extra pieces), not what you get on the road. Prices differ by section, so the table shows the range across the nine Take Off 2027 sections at the time of writing. The store always has the current price for the exact tier you want.

Prices as published on the section pages in September 2026 and subject to change; USD figures use the store’s conversion and will move with the exchange rate. Confirm the final total, including any taxes or fees, at checkout before paying.

How payment works

1. The deposit

A TTD 800 deposit must be received within 48 hours of placing your order. That deposit is what holds your costume; unpaid orders are cancelled after the window. You can pay it online by debit or credit card from anywhere in the world. Customers already in Trinidad can also choose the in-person Mas Camp option at checkout.

2. Paying the balance

Pay in full at any time, or spread the balance over monthly instalments through Partial.ly. Either way, everything must be cleared by January 1, 2027, and your sizes must be confirmed by the same date. Once you are paid in full, your QR boarding pass is generated and emailed automatically.

3. The firm bit

All payments are final and non-refundable, and deposits are non-transferable. Missing the January 1 deadline forfeits both your deposit and your costume allocation. It is a firm policy because sections are limited: it is what lets Showtime guarantee a confirmed spot to everyone who registers instead of overselling. What the price includes

Your costume price covers both days on the road, not just the outfit: chef-curated meals on Monday and Tuesday, premium bars stocked with water, juice and top-shelf alcohol, a dedicated security detail, music trucks with DJs and live acts, on-route paramedics, and mobile restrooms along the route. What the price does not include

• Flights, accommodation and airport transfers. These are the biggest part of most overseas budgets, and they climb the closer you book to February.
• Transport to the meeting point on Monday and Tuesday morning.
• Fetes. Carnival parties are separate ticketed events. You do not need any of them to play mas.
• J’ouvert. The pre-dawn Monday celebration is booked separately from your costume band.
• Monday Wear. Sold separately (TTD 1,199) so the band looks unified on Monday.
• Add-ons chosen at checkout, such as costume upgrades or the Ultra Bar option.

A realistic first-timer budget

Everyone’s trip is different, but the structure is the same. Start with your costume tier, add Monday Wear if you want it, then price flights and four to six nights in or near Port of Spain. Add a fete or two if that is your thing, and keep some cash for taxis, food outside the road days and a J’ouvert band if you are doing it. The one lever that moves the total most is booking early: costumes are fixed-price, but flights and hotels are not.
