Use the sizing guide before choosing your bra, waist and bottom sizes. If you are between sizes or unsure, contact Showtime on WhatsApp before placing your order so the team can help you choose. Final sizes are due January 1, 2027.

How do I pick up my costume?

Costume distribution happens in the weeks leading up to Carnival at scheduled pickup dates at Mas Camp, 51 French Street, Port of Spain. Bring your QR boarding pass and a valid government-issued ID. If you are flying in and cannot make the standard window, contact the team to arrange an alternative.

I’m traveling alone — will I know anyone?

Many masqueraders play mas solo. You join a section from the moment you register, and the band’s WhatsApp groups connect you with fellow masqueraders before you land.

What should I bring on the road — and what should I leave at home?

Bring broken-in comfortable footwear, a small waist bag or crossbody for phone, ID, cash and sunscreen, and a portable phone charger. Leave at home anything you are not prepared to dance in, sweat in or lose.

I’m registering from outside Trinidad — do I have to pay my deposit in person?

No. Overseas customers can pay the TTD 800 deposit through Partial.ly or pay in full online by debit or credit card. Online payment plans require the initial deposit immediately. If you choose payment at Mas Camp, the required payment must be received within 48 hours. Final balances and sizes are due January 1, 2027. All payments are final and non-refundable.

How much does it cost to play mas with Showtime?

Straight answers on costume prices, the deposit, payment plans, and the things your costume does not cover.

For Take Off 2027, most full costumes cost between TTD 2,999 and TTD 8,499 (roughly USD 450 to 1,270), with premium Diamond and Platinum tiers going higher. You secure any costume with a TTD 800 deposit, and the balance is due by January 1, 2027. Food, premium drinks, security, music trucks, paramedics and restrooms on the road are included; flights, hotels and fetes are not.

Costume prices by tier

Every Showtime section is offered in tiers. The tier changes how elaborate the costume is (backpack size, headpiece, materials, extra pieces), not what you get on the road. Prices differ by section, so the table shows the range across the nine Take Off 2027 sections at the time of writing. The store always has the current price for the exact tier you want.

How payment works

1. The deposit

Online payment plans require the initial TTD 800 deposit (USD 119.40) immediately. If you choose payment at Mas Camp, the required payment is due within 48 hours. An unpaid order does not secure your costume. Checkout shows the payment methods available for your country and currency.

2. Paying the balance

Pay in full at any time, or spread the balance over monthly instalments through Partial.ly. Monthly plans finish by December 31, 2026; review your exact schedule at checkout. The general final-balance and sizing deadline is January 1, 2027. Once you are paid in full, your QR boarding pass is generated and emailed automatically.

3. The firm bit

All payments are final and non-refundable, and deposits are non-transferable. Missing the January 1 deadline forfeits both your deposit and your costume allocation. It is a firm policy because sections are limited: it is what lets Showtime guarantee a confirmed spot to everyone who registers instead of overselling. What the price includes

Your full costume package includes one Monday Wear outfit and covers both days on the road: chef-curated meals on Monday and Tuesday, premium bars stocked with water, juice and premium alcohol, a dedicated security detail, music trucks with DJs and live acts, on-route paramedics, and mobile restrooms along the route. What the price does not include

Flights, accommodation and airport transfers. These are the biggest part of most overseas budgets, and they climb the closer you book to February.
Transport to the meeting point on Monday and Tuesday morning.
Fetes. Carnival parties are separate ticketed events. You do not need any of them to play mas.
J’ouvert. The pre-dawn Monday celebration is booked separately from your costume band.
Add-ons chosen at checkout, such as costume upgrades or the Ultra Bar option.

A realistic first-timer budget

Everyone’s trip is different, but the structure is the same. Start with your costume tier (one Monday Wear outfit is already included), then price flights and four to six nights in or near Port of Spain. Add a fete or two if that is your thing, and keep some cash for taxis, food outside the road days and a J’ouvert band if you are doing it. The one lever that moves the total most is booking early: costumes are fixed-price, but flights and hotels are not.

Can I pay for my costume in instalments?

Yes. After the TTD 800 deposit, you can spread the balance through a monthly Partial.ly plan. Monthly plans finish by December 31, 2026. Review the exact dates and amounts at checkout.

Do I have to be in Trinidad to pay?

No. The deposit and balance can be paid online by debit or credit card or through Partial.ly from anywhere. The in-person Mas Camp option is only for customers already in Trinidad.

Are deposits refundable?

No. All payments are final and non-refundable, and deposits are non-transferable. If the January 1, 2027 deadline is missed, the deposit and costume allocation are forfeited.

Can I pay in US dollars?

The store shows prices in TTD and USD; choose your currency at checkout and check the final total before paying. Card payments are processed in the currency shown.

Is food and drink really included?

Yes. Meals on both road days and premium bars along the route are part of the package, along with security, music trucks, paramedics and mobile restrooms.
